“Learning piano has definitely been an experience, but I am more than glad Mrs. Destinee was the one to teach me. I walked in with an open mind, but also the mindset that I wouldn’t get far. After taking lessons for these past five months, though, I can visibly see my improvement and it is all thanks to her! Coming by every Tuesday is something I look forward to weekly because I know there is someone waiting on me who will push me to my fullest potential and help me know that it’s not about being perfect, but about giving it my everything and not stopping when I do make a mistake — and mistakes happen. I can tell I am moving through songs easier after learning the notes and getting a better understanding of my hand placements and what the keys sound like when playing certain pieces. With all that being said, I love playing the piano and I am so thankful for Mrs. Destinee believing in me and helping me become better at playing my first instrument!”
